This internship will focus on creating paleogeographic maps and employing Colorado fossil and geologic data to refine their accuracy. Emphasis will be on identifying where plains, mountains, lakes, rivers, and oceans used to be and how they changed through time to yield the landscapes that we live on today. The goal is to make these maps publicly available to help diverse communities (from teachers to scientists to the public) use them to better understand our changing world.
