long term post-fire intern

The internship will be field focused. The intern will work daily with a graduate student in the Hayman Fire to understand long term patterns of forest recovery. The objectives of the project is to understand: 1) How are 20+ year old fires recovering in term of tree regeneration, forest structure, and bird communities that are indicative of overall forest health and habitat suitability. and 2) What projections can we make about long term recovery of more recent fires based on the recovery of 20+ year old fires.
