Goals, Scope and Objectives:
The goal is a publishable draft of a Carbon Market Roadmap for Colorado Producers. Interns must be able to research independently, write clearly, have basic interviewing skills, and be able to break down complex information for non-experts. Basic knowledge of carbon markets and greenhouse gas accounting is helpful.
With which stakeholder group(s) will the intern work?
They will engage with select producer as identified by Soil Carbon Solutions Center staff and extension affiliates, as well as global and national carbon market businesses and non-profits.
What student learning outcomes do you anticipate and what are the opportunities for professional development?
Our student intern will come away with leading knowledge on the state of nature-based climate solutions, and the financial markets used to fund sustainable development and increased carbon sequestration.
