Goals, Scope and Objectives:
The first group of stakeholders are businesses, farmers, and ranchers who are looking to hire qualified personnel for job openings. The second group includes people who want to start or change their career while staying in rural communities they grew up in or have lived for some time.
The internship will last 10-weeks, a travel budget of $2500, which includes $1000 for milage and $1500 for hotel stays and will include one intern. The intern will have access to a laptop computer throughout the internship, will use his/her own vehicle for travels, will be housed either for free or in a motel depending on availability.
The objective of this internship is to compile a list of job, career, and apprenticeship opportunities, as well as certification programs in Morgan, Rio Grande, and Prowers County. The intern will collect and write, if necessary, job descriptions, apprenticeships offered by local businesses, and certification programs offered by local community colleges and universities.
