The intern will help Grow & Give respond to community-identified needs concerning food security and social connectedness. The intern will work remotely and in-person with the statewide Grow & Give Steering Committee to improve the program’s evaluation tools and strengthen its community engagement. Specifically, the intern will:
1. Understand the current evaluation, marketing, and communication needs of Grow & Give;
2. Understand methods of assessing and documenting public health-related outcomes of programs similar to Grow & Give;
3. Assess current gaps in existing tools used to collect program evaluation data, identify community needs, and identify ways to engage with stakeholders;
4. Develop tools that improve data collection and strengthen program evaluation; and
5. Collect quantitative and qualitative data from community hunger relief organizations and other Grow & Give stakeholders.
